Krista’s interests include consumer-engagement strategies, payment reforms and technology innovations that address the market failures of the system. Most recently Krista has worked on initiatives related to employee-benefit distribution through private exchange models, digital health technologies for patient engagement, and wellness strategies.
As an independent consultant specializing in the transformation of healthcare to align with the goals of reform, she has contributed to and designed initiatives that enable early-stage to established organizations’ for success. Prior to her consulting work, Krista held several roles at Aetna, most recently with their Accountable Care Solutions division. Krista holds a BA from UC Berkeley in Political Economy with a concentration on healthcare costs and resource allocation.
Jennifer Schindel is an independent healthcare consultant focused on promoting innovation and increasing value across the healthcare ecosystem. Jennifer’s experience driving strategic, research, implementation, and communication initiatives reflect deep interest and expertise connecting the dots across the sea change of healthcare innovation – digital health technology, patient consumer engagement, quality improvement, payment reform, benefit design and effective multi-stakeholder engagement across payers, providers and patient consumers.
Prior to consulting, Jennifer held strategy and research roles in both industry and academic settings, most recently as a Senior Associate at UC Berkeley’s Center for Health Technology. Jennifer holds a BA from UC Berkeley in Cognitive Science and a PhD from Stanford University in Education, with a focus on Linguistic Anthropology.
